How long have you been tattooing?
I started as a tattoo apprentice in 2016.
What inspired you to become a tattoo artist?
As well as being able to draw all day and make a living from it, I am inspired by the rich ancient history of tattooing. To be able to practise such a longstanding meaningful craft is such an honour.
What is your background?
At school I did my GCSE and Level in art 2 years early and then went on to study Graphic Design at Uni. After leaving uni I exhibited as a fine artist in my spare time and worked as a Graphic Designer, eventually running my own business. In my 30s I started getting tattooed and was instantly drawn into the industry. I chose at 36 to completely start again to follow my passion for tattooing and the rest is history.
What style do you specialise in?
Botanical, micro realism and abstract.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to draw, see live music and watch films.
What’s your favourite kind of tattoo to do?
One that is either painted or drawn by hand onto the clients skin, these always create the best flow and work perfectly with the client’s body.
What’s the coolest tattoo you’ve done?
I am always super honoured if I get to tattoo someone’s head/face as it is such a visible area.
