How long have you been tattooing?
Around 22 years.
What inspired you to become a tattoo artist?
I've always liked tattoos and in school, I was always in the art lane. What guided me towards tattooing was that back then while going through university, I also had a bunch of rubbish jobs to support it and at the same time I had a band that a tattoo studio sponsored. At one point I started working there which developed into me designing more tattoo-related stuff and was eventually offered an apprenticeship. I gave up on Uni and the rest is history.
What is your background (university etc)?
Graphic design at uni, I didn't quite finish it.
What style do you specialise in?
Neo-traditional, neo-Japanese, custom letterings, an all-rounder.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm into magic: the gathering, fish tanks, metal, and cinema.
What’s your favourite kind of tattoo to do?
I enjoy doing custom lettering a lot.
What’s the coolest tattoo you’ve done?
This is one of those questions that no tattoo artist likes to answer.
