Where are you from?
I was born in a town in Merida-Venezuela and I have been living in Chile for 5 years.
How long have you been tattooing?
I have been tattooing for six years.
What inspired you to become a tattoo artist?
My story can be told in an HBO series haha. All my life I have liked art such as drawing, sculpture and painting. I have a lot of artistic influence from my family, I have uncles who are sculptors and painters and as a child, I always went to their workshops to help them. One day I decided to buy an apprentice kit and really from that moment I only dreamt of being a recognised tattoo artist and that my work would travel the world and I would be able to live on what I like so much.
What is your background?
My university studies were completed at an institute of higher studies in administration because where I come from it was very difficult to live as an artist.
What style do you specialise in?
My favourite tattoo style is undoubtedly realism and I specialise in family portraits, personalities, and pets. The latter is the one I enjoy the most, I love making pet portraits. I also do anime and some names and symbol tattoos.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my free time, I like to draw. I have an Instagram account where I upload all my drawings @alfredo_art_drawing and if I'm not drawing, I'm watching anime, series, movies, or spending time with my family.
What’s your favourite kind of tattoo to do?
The type of tattoos that I enjoy the most are portraits, although I would like to make a little more Greek or Roman sculptures.
What’s the coolest tattoo you’ve done?
The tattoo that I like the most so far is the 2Pac portrait on my profile, I really liked its result.
