Born in Istanbul, Atilla’s passion for art and self-expression led him to tattooing, which he began in 2017. He has developed a unique tattooing style that merges different artistic movements such as pop art, realism, and surrealism. For Atilla, tattooing is not just a profession but a form of self-expression. He strives to push boundaries, explore new techniques, and create original designs. He aims to understand his clients’ ideas and expectations and bring them to life through his art. Atilla is a resident at No Regrets Bath.

Questions & answers

Where are you from? Turkey- Istanbul
How long have you been tattooing? In 2017 I started tattooing.
What inspired you to become a tattoo artist? I have always been connected to art in some way, but I discovered tattooing while wondering how I could touch people's lives with it. I have wanted to have a meaningful job throughout my life and tattooing is a very suitable for this. I am very attracted to the freedom and the idea of people carrying my art on their bodies and to travel the world with my work.
What is your background? I studied at Anadolu university print making department but I had already focused on tattooing when I started at university, so I didn’t finish my course and kept working.
What style do you specialise in? Usually I do realistic tattoos but I always try to do something different so I love collecting pieces from many different styles and creating my own designs.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I like to spend my free time at home and create new things during this time. Of course, there are also occasional nature walks and spending time with my loved ones.
What’s your favourite kind of tattoo to do? I enjoy making realistic tattoos with abstract details. But I also enjoy doing big and planned projects.
What’s the coolest tattoo you’ve done? It could be an ancient character with a dragon around it that I made at the Marmaris Tattoo Fair.
