Where are you from?
I’ve lived in Gloucester for about 12 years but moved around a lot growing up , so not really from anywhere, my dad is from Scotland 🤷ðŸ»â€â™‚😅
How long have you been tattooing?
I started my apprenticeship in 2015 and have been tattooing since the summer of 2017.
What inspired you to become a tattoo artist?
I always loved to draw growing up and would spend a lot of my free time drawing famous people, footballers and animals. The idea of being a tattoo artist always interested me but I never thought it would happen as I went into carpentry & joinery right after finishing school. It wasn’t until I started to get tattooed that the deep desire to do this over took everything else. Being in that environment and seeing all the artists producing amazing work was the biggest inspiration for me.
What is your background?
I just always enjoyed using pencils/charcoal to try and recreate images of people/animals/movie characters that I liked.
What style do you specialise in?
Black and grey realism, but I enjoy doing other styles as well, including smaller tattoos, I like variety it keeps me sane
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to spend time with my family, take my dogs for walks in the Forrest, I’m a massive gamer and invest more time than I should into that.
What’s your favourite kind of tattoo to do?
Portraits, I love tattooing old photographs they have the best contrast and make amazing tattoos. But I also enjoy all kinds of portraits, it’s a fun process to see someone’s face slowly come to life on the skin
What’s the coolest tattoo you’ve done?
I will let people decide that for themselves, but my favourite is the Gandalf piece, I enjoy doing this style of work :)
